HUNDREDS of mourners attended the funeral of a mother-of-two found dead at home.
Marie Stewart’s body was found in the garage of her home at Perseverance Place in Holmfirth on February 13.
The 30-year-old’s funeral was held at St John’s Church in Upperthong.
At the hour-long service almost 500 mourners wore Miss Stewart’s favourite colours of purple and lilac.
She was mum to three-year-old Isobelle and one-year-old Joseph.
Miss Stewart’s father, Robert Stewart, said: “When you experience your own personal tsunami you look for rocks to cling to to help you keep your head above water.
“There are some very special rocks out there. You know who you are.’’
He paid special tribute to Miss Stewart’s younger sister, Katie, who he said “is doing a fantastic job in starting the long process of putting Isobelle and Joseph back together again.’’
Miss Stewart’s fiance, 28-year-old Andrew Lindo, has admitted killing her, but has denied her murder.
He is due to stand trial for murder later this year.
A fund has been set up to support Isobelle and Joseph.
