A GALA featuring all three emergency services in West Yorkshire takes place this weekend.

Saturday’s event will be at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue’s headquarters at Bradford Road in Birkenshaw from noon.

The event will also feature Army and Royal Marine attractions, police dogs and a fire service rescue demonstration.

There will be 145 displays, stalls and attractions and a farmers’ market.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter and a James Bond helicopter will also visit.

All the money raised will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity and The Fire Fighters Charity.

A free park and ride scheme will operate from Birkenshaw Middle School.

Entrance is £1, but people in uniform can get in free.
