SCOUTS from across Colne Valley and Huddersfield assembled in Beaumont Park on Sunday for their annual St George’s Day parade.
About 300 scouts from eight groups in Marsden, Slaithwaite, Golcar, Linthwaite, Milnsbridge, Crosland Moor and Newsome paraded to and from the park’s main gates via a post where they were saluted by dignitaries and scouting officials.

The march included a service at the park bandstand.
The parade was followed by a brass band performance and a collection in aid of Friends of Beaumont Park.
Huge crowds turned out to watch the parade.
