TWO gardeners helped themselves to extra cash after doing work for an 85-year-old man.

He paid the men for tidying-up his garden at New Hey Road, Marsh.

But one of them took more money from a bedroom after using the toilet.

The incident happened on Friday.

One man is described as white, 5ft 7in tall and about 40. He was medium build, clean shaven and wearing a brown casual jacket. His accent was possibly Liverpool or Lancashire.

The other, also white, was 6ft tall and had broad shoulders and a stocky build. He was 50 or perhaps older and clean shaven. He was wearing brownish work clothes.
