KIRKBURTON gardeners are hosting an event to raise funds for good causes in the village.
The Burton Open Gardens event will be taking place on Sunday (11am-5pm), during which 13 outstanding plots in the area will be showcased. Not only will there be an opportunity to see the local gardens however, but visitors will also be able to admire some of the areas hidden treasures such as the award-winning churchyard and the heritage site at Burton Dean Park.
Tickets (including a map) will be available on the day at £4 from Burton Village Hall and The Hub (Kirkburton).
A spokesman for the event this week said: “The whole idea is to bring the community together.
“We hope that many will come along, treat the gardens and the area with respect and contribute to three very good causes”.
