KAYLEIGH OAKES, 20, works in Batley town centre

THIS will be the first time I’ve been able to vote in a general election.

In last year’s council election I voted for the British National Party. I vote for the same party as my mum and dad and they vote for the BNP.

Having said that, the election doesn’t bother me. I know that’s a bad thing to say, but I really don’t pay attention to politics.

I live with my mum and dad, maybe that’s why I don’t follow politics.

Perhaps, if I lived independently, I would take more interest in the election.
