PROMISING local dancer Georgia Rowan is preparing to perform alongside EastEnders star Steve McFadden.

Eight-year-old Georgia has landed a role in the panto Peter Pan at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, over Christmas and the new year.

Mum Amanda said Georgia was really looking forward to it, adding: "She went to auditions a couple of months ago and we knew she had been accepted.

"Now all the paperwork has come through and its getting so close. She is getting really excited again," said Mrs Rowan, of Spring Lane, Holmfirth.

Georgia is in Year 4 at Upperthong Junior and Infant School and dances regularly at Tu Tu's Dance Studio at Netherthong.

She has been dancing since she was four.

Peter Pan is running at the Victoria Theatre from December 13 to January 6.

McFadden has just returned to his soap opera role as baddy Phil Mitchell.

In Halifax he is Captain Hook, a role he first played last panto season in Milton Keynes.
