THE call to get active has gone out to the people of Dewsbury.
Residents can try out activities during Active Week in the Dewsbury West council ward from next Monday until Tuesday July 26.
It starts with a series of active sessions for parents and children at Westmoor Junior School on Monday.
Other activities include a giant games afternoon for four to seven-year-olds at Dewsbury Moor Sure Start Centre.
There will be zumba classes for parents and children and special active sessions for girls on the Moorside Estate and School Estate.
Dewsbury West councillor Darren O’Donovan, said: “The weeks are proving a great way to get people involved and gain the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.”
