IT'S a mighty claim, but Hepworth residents believe they have made the biggest Christmas card in West Yorkshire.

The card, measuring 8ft by 4ft and made of hardboard, was created for a Christmas card exhibition to help raise money for Holy Trinity Church in Hepworth and emergency relief charity Medair.

One of the organisers, John Blunden, said: "The idea is that everyone can sign this for a small donation rather than send individual cards."

Christine Kelsey and Sheena Blunden wrote to artists and celebrities asking them to donate specially-designed cards for the exhibition. Among those who responded were the Archbishop of Canterbury and TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh.
