PUPILS have been rewarded for their efforts by a rugby Giant.
Huddersfield Giants fullback Paul Reilly visited Rawthorpe High School to hand out certificates to pupils who had worked with other youngsters to promote sport.
Nine teenagers were recognised for their hard work in setting up football teams and helping with coaching.
Five of the group helped in their spare time at primary schools in the area.
Matthew Sanderson, the school's co-ordinator of Aim Higher, a Government initiative to get the best out of young people's education, said he was very proud of the pupils.
"They have worked really hard and deserve the praise," he said.
"They have not made a big deal about all the time they have put in, so we thought we should."
