A GROUP of students from Salendine Nook High School are sounding out on-line after taking part in a new project entitled Radio Waves.

The Year 10 and 11 pupils conducted interviews, including questions for a line-up of Huddersfield Giants players. They edited them and learned how to upload them to the school's radio station.

Jamie Weavill, pupil support manager, ran the four sessions.

"It was very successful if very intense, because we did it all in a week," he said.

"We taught them how to interview people, how to use a mini-disc and how to edit their pieces and take out things like coughs.

"They interviewed some of the Huddersfield Giants players and did pieces on teenage pregnancy and racism."

The interviews can be found at on the Radio Waves website at www. radiowaves.co.uk
