STOCK Market investors are being urged to share the wealth with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The Elland-based charity has launched a scheme which allows people to donate shares instead of cash.

Director of fundraising Paul Gowland said: “Nowadays, we are finding people are considering other ways in which to donate to our charity, such as helping us with their professional expertise or leaving us assets, rather than just a cash donation.

“A gift of shares is just another way of supporting us.”

Mr Gowland added: “After receiving the shares, we can then keep them or sell them in accordance with our fundraising strategy.”

The charity is working with Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management on the scheme.

Prospective donors are advised to consult their accountant. For more information call the charity office on 01422 237900.
