DETECTIVES are investigating after a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Crosland Moor last night.
The incident happened in Sunningdale Road as the girl was walking along a footpath at 8.30pm.
The victim was approached by a man, possibly Asian or Iraqi, who then assaulted her.
The suspect is described as aged in his early 20s, of a medium build with very short or shaved dark hair.
He was clean shaven with a big nose and narrow eyes. He spoke very broken English in a strong foreign accent.
He was wearing a black long-sleeved jacket and dark jeans.
He also has a gold coloured pitbull type dog with a white chest which was about knee height.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Det Con Shaun Lewis of Huddersfield CID on 101.
