A TERRIFIED teenager was bundled into a car by a masked man and subjected to a serious attack.

The 14-year-old victim was abducted as she walked along Crossley Lane, Mirfield, and driven to a dark field at Hartshead.

It was there that her attacker dragged her from a vehicle at Hartshead Lane and subjected her to a terrifying ordeal.

Police are investigating a sexual motive for the attack.

It is believed that the attacker may have been disturbed by two people who were in the field beside Hartshead Lane, as the man ran off shortly afterwards.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are calling on these two people to contact us as they may be able to assist our inquiries.”

The schoolgirl was taken to hospital but did not receive injuries in the ordeal.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

It happened at about 6pm last Sunday, but details were only released today.

Police are specifically appealing for the two people in the field or area at the time to get in touch as they believe they may hold vital clues which could lead them to the attacker.

The attacker drove a blue people carrier and is described as being white, aged between 40 and 50. He is slim, with grey/blond short hair which appeared patchy.

He had a pig-shaped nose and big lips.

The man was believed to wearing an Adidas cap, a jacket and either blue or black tracksuit bottoms at the time of the attack.

He was also wearing a balaclava-type face covering when the attack took place and was seen to drive the vehicle wearing the mask.

It is believed he may walk with a limp or walk in a peculiar way and he spoke with a local accent.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious during the evening or recognises the description of the attacker is asked to contact Det Sgt Simon Leek or Det Sgt Paul Harrison on 0845 6060606 or the incident room on 01274 373642.

Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
