THE BIRTH of a boy has marked a special achievement for a Huddersfield family.
For newborn William Tams has made it five generations.
Kelly Tams, 22, of New Mill, and mother of William had grandmother Julie Ingamells, 45, at the birth, along with her husband.
Great-great-grandmother Elsie Manning, 87, went to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary to visit shortly after.
Great-grandmother Joan Broadley, 67, who has retired to Devon, made the journey back to Huddersfield two days after the birth.
A delighted Kelly said: "We're a very close-knit family and we're really proud. William is a very special baby."
