A FAMILY get-together celebrated 50 years of marriage for Aston and Stelma Bingham (pictured above), who live in Fartown.

Mr Bingham met his wife when he came to England in 1955 as one of the first four men from Jamaica to settle in Huddersfield.

He worked as a bus conductor for Huddersfield Corporation.

Mrs Bingham worked at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and then in textiles until retirement.

They married at Huddersfield Register Office and have four children, Carmen, Pauline, Raymond and Joy.

They have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
