HE’S a huge Huddersfield Town fan while she’s into the arts and crafts.

But happy Marsh couple Margaret and Brian Grainger have learnt to appreciate each other’s differences over the years.

The golden couple – pictured now and on their wedding day – recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by friends and family.

Brian, 72, said: “The secret is that when you argue – which we all do – sort it out that night and don’t let it go on and on.

“It’s a bit of give and take and learning to put up with each other’s little quirks.

“I’ve been a Town supporter for 60 years but Margaret doesn’t like all that – she likes knitting and making cards.”

Brian, retired sales manager for Shaws Pickles in Huddersfield, married Margaret at Holy Trinity Church.

The couple have three daughters and eight grandchildren.

Their daughters organised a huge party for them to celebrate their long and happy marriage.
