DETECTIVES have recovered a large haul of jewellery which they believe has been stolen.

Now they want people to look at the photographs and come forward if they were the victims.

The find followed the arrest of a 22-year-old Huddersfield man on suspicion of burglary.

He is currently remanded in custody awaiting trial.

The haul includes rings, chains and necklaces.

Det Con Neil Johnson from Kirklees CID intelligence unit said: “Many of the items of jewellery look old and may well have great sentimental value.

“We would very much like to trace their owners.’’
