EMPLOYEES of two Huddersfield companies held a golf tournament to raise cash for charity.

Around 40 employees from David Brown Engineering, Lockwood and Syngenta went head-to-head at Outlane Golf Course to raise £760 for The Nerve Centre.

The Nerve Centre, Half Moon Street, Huddersfield, provides support, services and activities for people in Kirklees who live with a neurological condition, as well as carers.

The charity was picked by David Brown employee and multiple sclerosis patient Paul Thomas.

David Brown Engineering donated £500.

Steven Buczek, David Brown HR manager said: “We chose The Nerve Centre because it’s not that well known. Syngenta won and it was closely contested but the real winner was the Nerve Centre.”
