A CHARITY golf day in West Yorkshire has raised £1,775 for local charity, Epilepsy Action.

The event took place at Castlefields Golf Club in Rastrick with members, friends and families all coming along to join in the fun.

The 30 pairs who took part in the main golf competition were blessed

with gorgeous weather throughout the day.

David Bartliff, the club’s Vice Captain said: “We believe that we are the smallest officially recognised golf club in England. A couple of our members here at Castlefields have links with epilepsy so we chose local charity, Epilepsy Action, to make the donation to. Obviously there was a competitive element to the golf but lots of family and friends came down so it was a really special occasion”.

Peter Cartwright and Malcom Elam were declared the winners on a back-nine

countback and the main prizes were donated by Brian Goldspink of Wolstenholme Valves. There was also an extensive set of prizes for the golf and raffle, which were donated by various businesses as well as members of the golf club.
