A GALA began with a grand parade led by the Huddersfield Youth Brass Band.
The gala queen, her attendants and the Scouts and Guides followed on their way to the Kirkheaton Scouts and Guides Gala. Once they arrived at the community field on Field Rise everyone enjoyed the BBQ, bouncy castles, the assault course and browsing the stalls.
Entertainment included karate demonstrations, belly dancing, and routines by Clare Doosey’s School of Dancing.
Huddersfield Town’s mascot, Terry the Terrier, made a special trip to the event to meet fans and sign autographs.
It was the 46th annual gala and money raised will go towards the upkeep of the Scout and Guide headquarters.
