A GRANGE Moor housewife died after a fall, an inquest heard.

Audrey Taylor, 87, lived in the Huddersfield area all her life.

Her husband Gerald Taylor told the inquest that she had been in good health for her age and could walk about the village up until three years ago, when she had a fall.

Mrs Taylor’s muscles were believed to have weakened since and although she never suffered bruising or complained of injury she fell more frequently.

On December 29, she fell and paramedics believed she had suffered a stroke.

Yesterday at Bradford Coroner’s Court, the court heard how the mother-of-one was admitted to hospital where her family were told she had suffered an acute subdural haemorrhage.

On January 9, she died in Ward 6B at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Coroner Roger Whittaker confirmed that the cause of death was accidental.
