CHILDREN went back to the 1970s for a musical extravaganza.

Pupils from Netherhall Learning Campus High School performed film favourite Grease for friends and family.

The actors really looked the part, and Gemma Eastwood and Louise Hunter of 505 Hair Design came to the school to put the finishing touches to their look.

Helen Turnbull, director of specialism at the school, said: “Staff and students worked incredibly hard for the last five months to create this outstanding production.

“The school is extremely proud of the young people’s achievement including the responsibility taken on by the BTEC Performing Arts Students in organising the event.

“As a school we value young people having the opportunity to work alongside local business to extend our partnerships with the local community.”
