A REUNION for old girls of the former Greenhead High School is to be held to celebrate the institution’s centenary.
Former head girl, Mary Appleyard, nee Maurer, is planning the
reunion on Sunday July 5. The event is open to any woman who took her A-Levels at Greenhead High School for Girls in 1967.
Although plans for the reunion are going well Mary would love to hear from anyone in the year group, who will be celebrating their 60th birthdays this year.
Since 1909, when the site first opened as The Huddersfield Municipal High School for Girls, thousands of women have been educated at the site.
The site later became Greenhead High School for Girls and then Greenhead College in the 1970s.
