VOLUNTEERS gathered in the Grimescar Valley to tidy the paths ready for winter.
The clean-up was backed by Kirklees Council and local residents spent a couple of hours in the Autumn sunshine sprucing up the lovely valley.
They were rewarded with tea and cake and children enjoyed an I Spy nature trail.
Save Grimescar Valley’s John Gilbert said: “We are happy to help keep the paths clear as this is such a valuable and well-used local resource".
