A CANCER charity is to benefit from a year of fundraising at a Huddersfield casino.

Grosvenor Casino at Folly Hall is launching its charity partnership for 2011 with Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding an evening of live entertainment with local vocalist Emma Prescott.

The fun kicks on Friday from 8.30pm when Emma will be performing songs from the 60’s up to the present day.

Grosvenor Casinos Sales Manager Louise Middleton, hopes the event will raise much need for funds for the local Marie Curie Nursing service throughout Huddersfield.

“We are really excited to be launching our charity of the year partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care and this event is a fantastic way to do so.”

Claire Priestwood, local Community Fundraiser states “It is guaranteed to be a great night out. What could be better, great food, great company and a fantastic local vocalist, whilst raising money for a wonderful cause.”

“All monies raised from this event will enable our local Marie Curie Nurses to provide more specialist care to patients at the end of their life in their own homes, surrounded by their family, friends and things they love.”
