GUIDES from throughout Huddersfield attended a camp where they took part in archery and craft activities.

Around 100 members of the Huddersfield Ramsden Division Camp and 30 leaders went on a weekend to Bramhope Camp near Yeadon.

Activities included go-karting, learning survival skills and taking part in arts events.

The guides camped while the younger brownies stayed in a hostel.

The theme of the trip was the Olympics, so the girls were split into groups named after countries participating in this year’s Games.

Leader Julie Sharples said: “It was a lovely weekend and everyone had a great time and lots of fun despite the rainy weather.”

The camp was led by division commissioner Gill Webbe.
