HUDDERSFIELD is looking for new volunteers for Girlguiding.

The Dartmouth Division has produced a number of postcards, to help promote the recruiting scheme.

Members will be handing out the postcards in the hope of attracting new volunteers

The `12-hour challenge' is a scheme to make it easier for adults to say `Yes' to volunteering.

The national organisation, Girlguiding UK, is asking for 12 hours of commitment over the next 12 months.

Carole Brett, Dartmouth Commissioner, said: "Guiding is an exciting challenge for the modern girl and adults looking for a fresh opportunity."

An event is being arranged for March, where interested people will be invited to come along and see more of what Girlguiding is all about, what it has to offer and how their skills and experience can be used.

Ms Brett added:

"Volunteering for 12 hours may be the start of something that changes their whole life."
