A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with assaulting a group of police officers in Huddersfield town centre. Cassandra Erskine, 18, appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday, accused of attacking four officers at Westgate on March 17 this year. The teenager, of South Avenue in Cowlersley, pleaded guilty to the charges. Her case was adjourned for further reports until April 28 and she was granted unconditional bail. District judge Jonathan Bennett told her that it was to her credit that she pleaded guilty at her first hearing, but warned her that he would consider all sentencing options, including custody.
