ARMED raiders escaped with cash after a terrifying raid at a fast food restaurant.

The three-strong gang stopped staff as they were locking up KFC on Leeds Road, Bradley Mills, just before 11.30 last night.

They forced them back into the takeaway and three were told to sit on the floor where they were held at knifepoint.

A fourth staff member was forced to hand over cash by a robber armed with a handgun.

The gang then fled on foot.

All are African-Caribbean men who wore balaclavas and dark clothes.

Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the staff.

"The robbers ran away, but did anyone see them getting into a car nearby?

"Did anyone see the three acting suspiciously in that area before the raid?"
