STYLISTS from a town centre salon dressed to impress to raise cash for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Staff at Studio 18 in Byram Street joined a nationwide appeal for hairdressers nationwide to £1m for new operating theatres at the hospital, which treats sick children.

Studio 18 organised a fancy dress party to help raise cash and celebrate its second birthday.

They dressed as children’s characters including Little Red Riding Hood, Little Bo Peep and other favourites.

The salon also raised cash by competitions, lucky dips and raffles.

“All of the team want to get behind “HAIR raising” and show we will go to any lengths to help these children,” said a spokesperson.

Salons asked customers to add a £1 donation to their bill to help the charity.
