A HAIR stylist has been left in the lurch.

Joanne Atkinson, who owns the Hairs & Graces salon in Slaithwaite, has lost her wedding appointments diary.

And with a busy summer ahead making brides look beautiful for their special day, she is appealing for help to find it.

The black, A5-sized diary also had £160 in cash along with bills and bank statements tucked inside the cover.

Joanne last recalls having the diary on Saturday, July 14, when she was paid the £160 after a wedding day appointment.

She is mystified about the loss as she usually keeps the diary with her at all times.

Last week, someone pushed the bills and statements through the letterbox at her Bridge Street salon – having seen her address on the documents – but the diary and the cash have not been recovered.

“I can’t be sure whether I’ve lost it or it was stolen,” Joanne admitted. “I have spent the past week looking all over for it, but without success.”

While Joanne is sad about losing the money, the diary is more important because it is her only record of appointments booked with brides-to-be in their own homes.

She said: “I have a laptop and I kept saying I would have to get my appointments on the computer, but it’s one of those things I never got around to doing!

“I have a diary at the salon with some of the wedding appointments listed and I can remember the dates I have booked for August and November, but it is the ones in September and October I’m struggling to recall.

“I’m dreading getting a phone call one day with the bride asking why I’m not there doing her hair!”
