WALKS aimed at celebrating the beautiful landscape of Cannon Hall are to be held.

The events, centred around the magnificent grounds of Cannon Hall Park and Gardens, aim to help visitors find out more about the natural environment.

Ornithologist Geoff Carr is taking early birds on a dawn chorus walk on Sunday, May 6. The 4.30am start will allow walkers to catch the beautiful dawn chorus at its best.

The walk ends at 8am, when a continental breakfast will be served.

Tickets cost £6 and must be booked in advance.

Friday, May 16, sees the return of the popular bat walk, with expert Eric Bennett. The free walk starts at 9pm, and pre-booking is required.

Visitors can enjoy a guided walk of Cannon Hall's park to celebrate World Environment Day on Tuesday, June 6. To take part in the free walk, visitors should meet at the museum entrance at 2pm.
