Halloween fans turned Huddersfield into a spooky town last night.

And nobody did it better than Kelly Moon.

The 24-year-old tattoo artist from Cowlersley pushed the boat out even further than usual this year with a giant dragon’s head stationed above her door.

Kelly, who runs Queen Ink Tattoos in Linthwaite, makes her models from chicken wire, papier mache and lacquers.

She said: “Every year the neighbours ask me if I’m doing it again. If anyone thinks I’m crazy they haven’t said so!”

Meanwhile, children have been making creepy decorations at the Tolson Museum in Huddersfield.

The museum was extremely busy yesterday with about 700 visitors taking part in two craft sessions, making skeletons, paper pumpkins and paper lanterns.

And at hairdressers Studio 18, on Byram Street, Huddersfield, eight members of staff sported Halloween garb to spook clients and raise money with raffles, prizes and donations for their chosen charity The Forget Me Not Trust.

The event started yesterday and runs until Saturday.

The nearby Byram Arcade was brilliantly decorated and staged a host of spooky activities.

Staff and residents got into the Halloween spirit at Pilling House care home in Skelmanthorpe.

Activities co-ordinator Shani Wallace said: “We had a competition and the residents picked the winners.

“We also decorated the home.”

Take a look at your Little Horrors, thanks for sending them in, and keep 'em coming!
