A MARSDEN-based theatre group will host family workshops for Halloween.

Mikron said last year’s event was a roaring success with more than 80 people attending free workshops, making ghostly costumes, practising face-painting and other activities.

The workshops were followed by a fancy dress parade which attracted 300 people.

This year promises to be even better with more activities for all ages over three days before the big event in Marsden Park on Saturday night.

The first activity is on Thursday at 2.30pm for under-8s and on Friday, workshops to make costumes will run from 10am to noon and from 1pm to 3pm at Marsden Mechanics Hall.
