AN 89-year-old woman tried to chase a teenage thief who snatched her handbag yesterday.
But the thief outsprinted her and fled.
The woman was walking down a snicket off School Lane, Almondbury, at 3.10pm on her way to a church when the theft took place.
The thief was described as aged 16 to 18, 5ft 8in tall and slim. He wore a long black coat and dark trousers.
