News that Huddersfield could lose its A&E department — and HRI could be demolished — brought people together in their thousands to fight the proposed hospital shake-up.

The #HandsOffHRI campaign, led by the 46,000-member strong Let's Save Huddersfield A&E Facebook campaign and the Examiner Save Our A&E campaign has seen rallies, protests and more than 50,000 people sign the petition to prevent the A&E closure.

Campaigners have got creative to inspire people to join the cause, fight the proposed shake-up and make their voices heard.
