They deal with traffic problems day in and day out ... and they say Huddersfield A&E should remain open.

West Yorkshire Police’s road policing unit joined the bid to save the casualty at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with a tweet they sent out late yesterday.

It stated: “Traffic down Calderdale Way is very slow and heavy with very limited alternative routes, let’s hope they don’t close Huddersfield A&E.”

The police are echoing what many protesters are saying and we also caught on camera that the poor road network means both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary should keep their A&E departments.
