PEOPLE in Huddersfield who are aged 40 and over are being encouraged to log on to a new website to check their health.

The Department of Health has launched the NHS MidLifeCheck, a free, easy to use, internet service that provides people, within the age group, with tailored advice on how to live a healthier life.

To check your health and create a personal action plan, which is specific to your needs, log on to: www.nhs.uk/midlifecheck

Paul Johnstone, regional director for public health at NHS Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “This is a fantastic website, which will help some of the most hard to reach people in our region to improve their lifestyles.

“This new system is totally confidential so people who are 40 and over can get advice, which is specific to them, without feeling self conscious”.
