HEALTH visitors have been moved into new teams in a bid to modernise the south Kirklees service.
The 100 qualified nurses, midwives and nursery nurses are now working in teams across the seven areas of the Kirklees Primary Care Trust (PCT) after the health visiting service was reviewed.
Each team will work within a designated area, allowing for more integration with agencies and better links with families.
Robert Flack, Director of Provider Services for Kirklees PCT, said: "Families will still have a named health visitor and GP practices will still have a link health visitor, but they will each be supported by a team of health professionals working across one locality."
People should still use their existing details to get in contact with the right person.
The new bases and contact details can also be obtained by calling the PCT Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01484 466172, or by visiting the PCT website at www.kirklees-pct.nhs.uk under "Local NHS Services", "Community Services", then "Health Visiting".
