A COMMUNITY project aimed at improving people’s health is looking for recruits.

The Paddock Pathways to Health scheme provides healthy eating, exercise and health treatments.

People of all ages have benefited from the project.

But organisers are now looking for more people to get involved in the Lottery-funded scheme.

Organiser Emma Kirkby-Geddes said: “We are looking to develop the project and need more people to do that.

“We are re-evaluating the people who took part last year and the signs from them so far have been very positive.

“For the project to continue we need to show it has made an impact, so we rely on new people to help guide us.”

The scheme was formed to provide and improve access to health-related services.

Physiotherapy, out-patient podiatry and keep-fit sessions all take place at Paddock Village Hall.

The centre also provides healthy eating courses, aerobics, baby clinics and social events for the elderly.

Some people are referred to the project by their GPs, but others join to improve their well-being and social life.

People only need to complete a quick questionnaire about their lifestyle before joining the activities.

The outcome will help develop projects at the village hall to benefit more people.
