THIS is the dramatic moment a balaclava-clad gang raided a shop in the early hours of the morning.

Police have just released CCTV images of the robbery in Kirklees in a bid to move the inquiry forward.

The images show two men involved in the ramraid at the Londis convenience store in Cleckheaton in late November.

On Tuesday November 30, an N-reg Mitsubishi Shogun was used to reverse into the shutters of the store at Bradford Road at around 4.15am.

Two masked men then went into the building through the damaged window and stole cigarettes from the shelves.

They fled and jumped back into the Shogun, which was last seen heading towards Heckmondwike along the main A62 Leeds Road.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “CCTV images from the scene at the time of the crime show two masked men carrying out the burglary.’’

One wore all dark clothing.

His accomplice wore a black and yellow coat.

Detectives have now revealed that the Shogun was stolen in Bradford on the morning of the raid.

It was taken from outside a house at Rosley Mount in the Woodside area of the city.
