CHEEKY postcard boss Ian Wallace has sent a good luck message to Britain’s Olympics stars.

Wallace, owner of saucy seaside postcard company Bamforth, holds a recently found rare postcard first published in Holmfirth in 1962, two years before the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The card is being posted to Andrew Hunt, the BOA's chief executive, wishing Team GB all the luck in the world and a successful Olympic Games.

“A happy team is a successful team. We hope that they like the greeting and win many medals,” said Mr Wallace.

Bamforths was founded in Holmfirth in 1870 by James Bamforth.

He published the first of his saucy seaside postcards in 1910 and more than one billion have been sold world wide since then.

The firm became famous for its saucy buxom blondes and henpecked husbands in the cartoon cards.

Mr Wallace took over the firm several years ago.
