THE history of Pule Hill comes under the spotlight later this month.
On Sunday, June 20, Alison Tyman, of the West Yorkshire Geology Trust, is leading another of her walks looking at the landscapes of the local area.
The walk will spotlight the ‘Fossils and building stones of Pule Hill’, near Marsden.
Starting at 2pm from Mount Road, Marsden, at the signpost for Boat Lane, the one-mile walk will take participants to see fossils in shales and Marsden’s building stones in Pule Hill Quarry. Walkers will also be able to enjoy spectacular landscapes on the tops of the Pennines.
The walk, which will last around two hours, is free.
