BIG-HEARTED volunteers are putting on their major fundraising event of the year.

Santa and his sleigh are touring villages to take donations for Holmfirth and Meltham Lions.

The cash will go towards local charity work.

Santa's itinerary is:

Thursday - Brockholes, from 6pm; Friday December 16 - Holmfirth Co-op, 1pm to 6pm; Saturday December 17 - Holmfirth Co-op, 9.30am to 3.30pm and Netherton from 5pm; Sunday December 18 - Morrisons, Meltham, 10am to 4pm and Wooldale from 5pm; Monday December 19 - Shepley from 6pm; Tuesday December 20 - Honley from 6pm; Wednesday December 21 - Meltham from 6pm; Friday December 23 - Morrisons, Meltham, from 3pm.
