FOUR teenage friends have embarked on a marathon session playing computer games – in a bid to raise cash for charity.

While lots of their pals were following Town’s fortunes in the play-offs on Sunday, Toby Garside and pals Conor Fishwick, Jack Crowther and Cameron Tolson are spending the long Bank Holiday weekend glued to their consoles.

They are taking part in a three-day non-stop gaming challenge to raise £1,000 for the Hollybank Trust at Mirfield.

The four friends are being joined online by other gamers – while the whole event is being streamed on a website Toby has created at

Toby and three friends staged a five-day 24-hour gaming marathon last year when they raised £759 for Hollybank Trust.

The trust provides education and care for children, young people and adults with profound physical disabilities and complex medical needs. It includes Holly Bank School at Mirfield and a number of homes in the community, including Rowan Court, a 15-bed close care unit at Holmfirth.
