A TALK about a sustainable future will take place in the Holme Valley.
The Holmfirth Climate Change Group is hosting the event with Incredible Edible.
Norah Hamill will give a talk on the activities of Incredible Edible, Huddersfield, which believes that the recipe for a sustainable future lies in our own hands.
The group has already been out planting vegetables in the flower beds in the centre of Holmfirth and is active in a number of projects across the Holme Valley.
Following the talk there will be a discussion around the issue of more land being made available for public allotments in the Holme Valley.
Norah’s talk takes place on Thursday, July 29, starting at 7pm in the Holmfirth Parish Church Gallery Rooms.
Further meetings of the Holmfirth Climate Change Group are planned for over the summer.
On Sunday, August 22 Kate Hughes will lead a Wild Food Walk with an opportunity to investigate and discover the growth of local and natural plants that can be eaten raw.
