Flying high

Holmfirth High School students released 300 balloons at the weekend to help raise funds for a school trip to Uganda. Pupils Joshua Garlick and Michael Truby sold balloons to classmates and friends and there was a £100 prize for the one that travelled the furthest. The school wants to send 17 students to work with a primary school in Uganda in August next year. Each student has to raise £3,000. The event was sponsored by Ford Polar.
