Holmfirth Inner Wheel helps West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust

FUNDRAISERS presented a children’s charity with a cheque for £1,500.

Holmfirth Inner Wheel raised the money for West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust with a series of events, including a fashion show, ceilidh and plant sale.

Inner Wheel member Bea Rant explained why the group wanted to help the trust, which is raising money to build a children’s hospice in Brackenhall.

She said: “We’ve given donations to them before, because we like to help local charities.”

Ann Lowe, whose term as president of the Inner Wheel ends this month, presented the cheque to trust volunteer Sheila Walker.

The presentation took place at a special music evening at Brooklands Nurseries in Totties, Holmfirth.
