A MELTHAM man has appeared in court accused of drink-driving.

Richard Tinker, of Helme Lane, was charged before Kirklees magistrates yesterday with driving a Mini Cooper over the legal limit on Wilshaw Road in Meltham. Tinker, 36, denies the allegation.

His solicitor Mark Brookes said that he raised a medical condition at the police station but this wasn’t considered.

The case was adjourned for trial. Tinker was bailed to appear at the court on July 25.
